Saturn Sky: Sneak Peek

Somebody at General Motors must love Saturn. One hundred years ago was killed off Oldsmobile in favor of bringing the Saturn brand in-house. Until the beginning of this decade, Saturn was a separate car manufacturers, wholly owned by GM. Well, as a bonafide Division GM, the Saturn line is finally some much-needed new models, including the Sky roadster, the focus of this preview.
In the early 1990s, polymer dent cars with the S " " to roll began naming a factory of a new plant in Spring Hill, Tennessee. Several things were about the unusual project. The first was the company: Saturn. As a wholly owned but separately managed GM, the GM Saturn initially escaped often overbearing culture, and began with the production of cars on their own far away from Detroit. Similar in size and appearance to Honda S2000 roadster, the Sky comes with 18-inch alloy wheels, a manually operated soft top, a reverse-opening grab hood, leather bucket seats seats, and four wheel anti-lock brakes. Standard engine is a 2.4 170hp I4 paired with either a 5-or 5-speed automatic transmission.
Prices for the new Sky come in several thousand dollars higher than the Pontiac Solstice in the Sky is a targeted and slightly higher. MSRP from approximately 25 thousand US dollars is expected to only 10-12000 models produced annually.
Other models are planned for Saturn, but the Sky represents a new departure from what has long been seen by many as calmly. After judging, many published reports, the Sky is a step in the right direction, and we can only hope that the other new models planned for the Saturn generate at least half the hype of the sky. kate millie
